Recent article "Ten things you can do when Windows XP wont boot"

As most modern laptops do not have floppy drives what is required to be done to enable Windows XP to boot from a flash drive?

What is generally easier to do is make a Bootable CD and boot from that like those different ones listed here

Hal,
I agree with your comments that for those who have a floppy drive it is one of the ways to go. For those people who use a laptop and do not have a floppy drive was the reason for asking the question.
If the boot up files were to be put on a flash drive how could the laptop be setup to boot from that instead?

You have to go into the BIOS

And set one of the Boot Devices to USB before the HDD. Please Note some NB's do not support this option. Particularly many of the cheaper ones.
