In my current job I am the System Admin, I work as an accountant, and also provide some Business functions. I need to decide how to move forward with my career. Can anyone offer advice on certifications or other training. All aspects of computers interest me so I am having a hard time deciding in what direction to procede. I currently have no certifications, but Bachelor of Science in the three areas above.

Hi.
in my xperience with images... i use to work at IBM and in that time we created the images to use only with one model not one image for several models.
every computer must have its own image, some times it works with difent models but is not recommended to do that for obius reasons.

i would be much easier if you re make the image for the trouble pcs. I face before your problem with dell models the same problem, the guy in charge of deployment make a new image for that type of pc. why? to save time in the future and avoid what you are experiencing today.

if you can get to safe mode, uninstall the video card so windows can detect and reinstall the drivers by it self. add a agp video card and configured the bios to boot with it. if it works completely uninstall the video drivers at the point that windows does not reconize the video card so you can manually install the drivers...

hope it works for you since the image was not made for that model. DO THE IMAGE!!!. for that specific type of dell. its going to save you a lot of users calls.

Hello,

At this point you look like a jack of all trades, but if your greatest interest is in computers get some Microsoft/Networking experience and/or certifications. Another option, if you have the apptitude for it is Business or Systems Analyst. Someone that understands how to solve business problems and create software solutions for those problems is very valuable.

Best of luck and happy new year.
