reconnect at logon in XP vs. 2000

by j3pflynn . Updated 18 years, 4 months ago

I had set up mapped drives in Win2K, which, after logging onto Win2K, offered me a reconnect logon dialog box to enter the password to reconnect to mapped drives. When I upgraded to WinXP, it no longer presents that dialog, but only gives a “warning” in the system tray once in Windows, informing me that the drives were not reconnected. I can reconnect by going into My Computer or explorer and clicking on the disconnected drive(s) and entering the password. Is there any way to make XP offer that same reconnect logon dialog immediately following the Windows logon?
