Also download and run the free Seagate diagnostic utility:

Then there is Davory Data Recovery:

by internetspider In reply to recover data t60 HDD

I got same problem on my external Hdd 120 gb
i tried to but OS says not accessable, i tried my best so i solved my problem two times,
1: I recovered my data from deleted partition by Symentec Partition magic 8.5. it was successfull.
2: when i got E: is inaccessable (where E was my External HDD 120 gb) i formated it and recovered my data with RECOVER MY FILES v3 I'm not sure about version but the software was RECOVER MY FILES it takes more then 24 hours if you select all type of files to recover. but it was successful.

I explained this couse you can get some help from there. thanks

While the last 2 are from the same company they are very different products. Win Hex should only be considered foe use by someone who knows Hex Inside Out while Davory is a great cheap General Purpose Application.

Personally I prefer the On Track Option but it's anything but cheap. However because I use this type of software a lot it's paid for itself many times over by now, for a cheaper option Spin Rite from Gibson Research or Stella have both very good reputations by other TR members.
