Recover overwritten files?

One of my clients inadvertantly caused files on their Windows 2000 server to be overwritten from a mapped drive on their Windows 2000 workstation. Their most recent back up is two weeks ago. Is there any chance of recovering files that have been overwritten or replaced? Please help if you have an answer ASAP!!!!
