recovered PST not working….

Have sucessfully downloaded recover_files_setup.
and recovered the overwritten pst. However, while importing recovered pst to Personal Folder/Microsoft Outlook, it prompted “properties for this information service must be defined prior to use”, when hit ‘OK’ another dialog box appear and “….pst is not a Personal Folder File”

How to recover .pst folder fully so that e-mail can be up again. TIA
