Recovering data from broken HDD

By Daholeindawall ·
A coffee-shop guy accidentally drop my father's 320 GB Toshiba MK3265GSX 2,5" HDD with, then when he arrived home he try to make sure the HDD works properly, but it's not working properly, my father hears bad rattling sound from it, it starts to disconnect and re-connect again, then ask to format if he tries to open the drive. One day my father brings the HDD to his friend to diagnose the problem, then he says if the disk have many bad sectors, my father's friend said to me if i can use HDD Regenerator to repair those bad sectors, but the HDD will not work 100% as before broken, and took approx. 3-4 days to repair it. A guy from a recovery center said that he can repair the HDD and transfer it to a new HDD. My father said that he don't need to recover the data, he just need to buy the new one, he said that if i can recover the data it would be much better. But do you think what is the better way? Repair the bad sectors with HDD Regenerator and back it up, or bring it to the recovery center guy?
