Recovering datas from a disk

By Megkilla ·

Maybe one time you lost a partition table ... now it's over !!!

I recently discovered ZAR Tools, ZAR means Zero Asumption Recovery, it can help you restore lost datas from a destroyed partition ^^ but due to my lack of finances -_-" I just used the trial version, with it you can only backup 4 directories by session. it's already a good thing when you have to restore a Documents & Settings folder.

Here's the link to ZAR Tools Website :

And they have created some other usefull programs, like a Disk Viewer. Try everything you want.

Hope it will help someone one day, it helped me a lot ^^.

It was a real help to me too!!!

I originally used the trial version to recover deleted files from a CF (whoever says you can't recover files from flash media has obviously never used Z.A.R.!!!) It recovered 80% of the files the user was looking for... much better than 0%! I was so impressed I purchased the full version for $90. 2-3 days after making the purchase, and thinking... hey I should have just stuck to the free version, it paid for itself when a client came to me worried that his HD had crashed and he hadn't had performed a backup in over a year. ZAR works!!!
