Recovering hard drive data.

By PoppyJH ·
My desktop computer recently crashed (the processor packed in) and I can't afford to replace it. I've removed the hard drives, but I need the data stored on them. Could anyone tell me of a way to get the data from them using my laptop? For some reason, my other desktop wouldn't accept them when I connected them.

Thanks.

P.S I run on Windows 7, if that's important.

Argh...

For some reason when I click 'reply' or 'Ask for Clarification', the little thing just sits there and spins...

When you say you connected your hard drives up to your other desktop, how did you connect them? Did you remove the hard drive that was already in that desktop? You also mention hard driveS... These weren't set up as a RAID array, were they?
