I started my PC & left it to boot up as usual… 🙂
On coming back, I found that the auto(stupid) checkdisk feature in WindowsXP(that pops up sometimes before the log-on screen when one accidently switches it off without shutting down…) had been called and was doing something weird to a 20 GB partition on my HDD. It was deleting some kind of “entries” that identified the files present in the partition… 🙁
On logging-in, I found that the entire 20 GB partition had been WIPED CLEAN…
The partition contained important data and now I desperately need to recover that… tried many data recovery softwares but none is working…
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP…!!! 🙁
Thank you very much for the help,
Chaos Buddha
