Recovery email messages from a deleted user

One of our employees left quite some time ago and I recently deleted her as a user on our server (running Windows Small Business).

Sod's law; my director turned round to me yesterday and has asked for access to her emails dating some 6 months ago.

Is there any way I can reinstate her as a user and in turn access her email?

Assuming you're using exchange

You can recreate a user account and then attach the mailbox to that new user. When you create the user accoutn DO NOT create a mailbox for them.

Then go thru the Exchange System Manager.

Just attach the mailbox to the account you create.
