By sanjeevchitharagi ·
Hi there.I am using windows 2000 with one hard disk partition.
Recently the recyle bin failed to store deleted items. In the recycle bin properties I set the following: chose use one setting for all drives, unchecked do not move files to the recycle bin,set size of recyle bin to 10%,checked delete display delete confirmation dialog.
What could be the problem? I am waiting your reply thank you in advance

What problem?

There is no problem! It's doing exactly what you told it to do. It's not storing deleted items in the recycle bin. It's deleting completely without an option to recover the files.

If you want it to return to normal, set it back to the way it was before you made the changes.

Have you checked it since you 'SET' it ?...

Or are you just telling us what it used to do before you SET it?

If, while in the Recycle Bin 'Settings' you "unchecked do not move files to the recycle bin" - Then CLEARLY at some point you must have previously CHECKED the same box.

I don't understand your question.
