Red flashes in zoom meetings

Hi All,

Got a client that is continuing to get red flashes on the screen during zoom meetings. It doesn’t appear to happen when using the zoom app but it does happen when using the web browser. I don’t seem to be able to find many hardware settings to mess with on MAC to troubleshoot. Anyone have any thoughts why there might be red flashes using the browser on MAC?

The usual changes I try.

1. In the browsers try DISABLE HARDWARE ACCELERATION. This varies with each browser so google how for each browser. I won’t list it all here.
2. Try https://community.zoom.com/t5/Meetings/Red-flicker-on-my-screen-during-meetings/m-p/46724

3. https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360037870291-Managing-advanced-video-settings shows there’s a hardware acceleration there as well.

You forgot to tell the exact model and year of the MAC as well as which Apple OS version.

Thanks for the response. I’ll check those out. Before I had updated the Zoom client and it appeared to go away, this time its the browser I guess.
