RedHat background image

By McIntyreM ·
After booting up my Linux computer, it comes to the X-login screen. Behind the login screen, there is the default background with the RedHat logo. Is there any way to change which graphic is displayed?

You must then be using Gnome as your desktop manager. Go into the start menu (the foot), choose programs-->settings-->Gnome Control Center.

The desktop properties are first on the list.

Sorry--I assumed you meant your own desktop, not the sign-on screen. To change the sign-on screen you need to edit:

/etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0
