Redirect Exchange 2000 mailbox to an user

By cadinhocb ·
After a serious DNS issue, my exchange 2000 server had all of the mailboxes disconneted from the users; after fixing my DNS issue I ran the MBConn and got most mailboxes linked to every user, but this one mail box got linked to something "not the right user".
Unfortunately the user can't open the mailbox and every email to that user comes back as "Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients"
Is there an easy fix to this?
Thank you in advance.

Solved issue

For some reason this one user account had the "Allow inheritable permissions from parent to propagate to this object" unchecked. After I checked it and waited for the changes to be pushed out to both of our DCs I was able to:
From the Exchange Task, Remove Exchange Attributes
Use the MBConn to find the Mailbox and link it back to the user.
Problem was fixed.
Hope this helps someone else with the same issue, there were a few little other steps here and there, but that was the main steps taken to fix it.
