i recently inherited a toshiba techra a8 after my brother passed away. It has a biometric scanner and will not let me in to the system is there a way to reformat it and bypass or reset the biometrics?

The Biometric Reader can be bypassed with a password

You need to enter the password by clicking on the User Account and when the Password box appears enter the Password.

If you need to recover any Data you really should take it to either a Toshiba Agent or a Computer repairer.

If you are not concerned with Data you can just use the Toshiba Recovery Disc and install the OS. This will bring the system back to a As New Software Load.
