took HDD out of Compaq Evo D500 to wipe and reuse.
reformatted fat32…reinstalled and restore disk is not being read/loaded…..CDROM drive light blinks once,then floppy light stays on.
upper left screen shows blinking cursor where memory counts up before loading windowsXP.
Unit no longer counts up memory and I cannot access F1,2,8,10,or 12 by keyboard,so screen says:’Strike F1 for recovery…..what did I do wrong?should I try NTFS?
I’m lost in the Twilight Zone,here!
