Registry error

I have an Dell computer optiplex466\LE. I am
getting an Registry configuation error on startup and will like to know how to fix it.

Are you still able to boot into Windows?
If so, I recommend that you use a registry repair tool such as Norton Win Doctor, or Meijenix Fix It to repair the registry.

If you cannot boot, search TR for this article;
Learn to rebuild the Windows registry from DOS

Worst case, boot from a startup disk, and re-install Windows.

Copy and paste into the address bar, remove any spaces. This was in the Dec 26th Windows 9X TechMail.

Good Day

Another option is to use a diagnostic utility such as Norton Utilities to fix the problem, or there is Microsoft's regclean program, which although no longer provided by Microsoft can be found on another site (which I can't remember!!). Search for regclean on the web, it is supposed to be one the safest and best registry checkers available
