Reinstalling win 98 SE

Hello,
I am having all sorts of glitches with Win explorer due to a Beta Win 98 copy installed on my PC by an acquaintance. So, I am opting to Uninstall and replace it with either an OEM 98 Se copy or a Win XP copy.
1. How to copy Bookmarks, and Address book.
2. Clean sweep current hard drive.
That is about it. Thanks for any help from any one on this site.
