I have a set up network shares on my w2000 server. I have a client environment of 98 and 2000 pro. I limit the number of connections to a folder with certain applications in it in the share permissions. When the limit is reached no more connections can be made. However when someone closes the application or the folder it does not release the share. The default time of 15 minutes in the registry passes and the share is still not released. If the user logs off the network the share is released by user name but the users computer account still shows up as connected. I need to know how to get the share connection to release both the usr connection and computer account connection in 1 or 2 minutes without the user having to log off.
