remote access to email through outlook

by seadogs . Updated 24 years, 12 months ago

We would like for our growing number of laptop users to be able to access their email through the outlook program when they are on the road as well as when they are on the network in the office. Is there any standard way to set this up?

Right now they can access email using exchange web access when they go through any internet provider. However this is confusing to many and changes made here are not applied to their email on outlook. We are running Exchange server 5.5 service pack 5 on a windows NT network. Most of the laptops are running Windows 98 with a few on Windows 2000. Users get acces to the internet by using a company password through an ISP such as mindspring.
I’ve tried playing around with the internet mail settingsbut without any luck.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
