Remote administration purposes

For instance, a user submits a trouble ticket saying his PC is 'broken'. Given a user can't or isn't available to find his/her PC name. If I know his username, how can I find out the computername which he is logged into (not the DC)?

I do not know your environtment, but you should be able to get his computer name from various sources.

Does your troubleticket system record which computer the user used when reporting the problem?

If your user must log in to a server to use the computer, your server should record the user login activity.

The problem is if in your environment the user can log into many machine at the same time, you can not determine the computer name this way.

Have you try asking his/her colleague in the same dept/division? In my environment (more than 4000 employees in gelogically separated 5 locations), sometimes it is easier to ask the colleagues about the problem.
