Remote Assistance

I understand that in order to safely use and
effectively use on a remote computer, a tech
has to, other than get permission, go through
a terminal server; inorder to use Remote
Assistant. P.S. The Remote Assistant I’m
referencing about is the one on WindowsXP.
However are thier simularities on PCAnywhere
and Remote Agent on Partition Magic?
