Remote command execution in windows 9x

By mrkrach ·
I have got 4 pc's running win95 all
connected in LAN thru T1 Line. I have
some of the batch programs in all systems.
Presently I don't have TCP/IP connection.
To execute these batch file and some other
exe files I have to personnaly move
around to pc's and get the job done.
Is there any simple software to execute
commands or exe's on other pc's in LAN
using NETBIOS?(controlling other pc's
through a single pc)

Remote command execution in windows 9x

Hi,

There may be simpler solutions, but one way you do this is by running a console program on each machine.

I use VNC which is free and downloadable from the net...

(remove spaces from above URL)

This allows you to control the whole desktop remotely - which is obviously better than simply initiating a batch program on the PC in terms of the control you have and the things you can do, but not so good if you just want to simply double click an icon the run something remotely...

You will need to ensure that VNC is automatically started when the remote PCs boot, though. Thats not hard...

Cheers,
Tim.

Hi
It is free and it works the way you want it to.All remote and telenet software requier client install but this just copy PsExec onto your executable path. Typing "psexec" displays its usage syntax.PsExec is a light-weight telnet-replacement thatlets you execute processes on other systems, complete with full interactivity for console applications, without having to manually install client software. PsExec's most powerful uses include launching interactive command-prompts on remote systems and remote-enabling tools like IpConfig that otherwise do not have the ability to show information about remote systems.
Good luck

Mohamed
