I require some help regarding RDP.
I would like to control my home computer from work using Windows Remote Desktop. I would like to also learn this skill so that I can access other peoples machine from my home.
To try and get this working I am VPNing into work and RDPing into my work machine. From my work machine I am then attempting to RDP into my home machine. I am able to RDP into my work machine with no problems. I am not able to RDP back into my home machine though.
I have set my home machine to allow remote invitations. I have set my Netgear DG834GT router to foward and allow the ports. I have also switched the firewall off.
I believe this problem is because I have XPhome at home and XP pro at work which is on a Domain. Am I correct in assuming XPhome is the problem?
Can anyone recommend any software for easily controlling other people’s machines from my home!
I have used TightVNC but remote desktop seems to be allot better.
