Remote Desktop

By nhiep_nguyen ·
Hi,

I have a home LAN permanently connected to the internet thru an ADSL line.
The IP address is not a fix one, my ISP changes it every 24 hours.
Then my question is how to establish a remote desktop connection away from home?
Thank you for all help & advice you can provide me with

Use this free program NoIP from www.no-ip.com. It re-establishes your IP address with a service so that your computer can be found (knowing the IP address or given link i.e. www.myremotedesktop.no-ip.net) even if your ISP changes your IP address.

FollowMeIP has a free utility. After downloading and registering at their site, the app keeps track of changes to your IP address, uploads the current one to FMIP server. You go to their site from any internet connected PC, login and view your current and past home IP addresses.
Go here to download: http://fmip.org/download.php

I suppose that FMIP requires subscription of some sort; besides they do have customer's IP addresses, thus increases the risks of hacking
Could followMe upload to my own selected server?
Anyway the information helps me.
