Remote Desktop Licensing Error

I have a new laptop and I am trying to connect to a server
using remote desktop. I can connect to the server using
any other computer but when I use the new laptop it gives
me .."the remote computer disconnected the session
because of an error in the licensing protocol please try
connecting to the remote computer again or contact your
server admin". I have looked at the term. services on the
remote server and all looked ok to me. I also did what
microsoft said to do like remving the CALs in regedit and
it still did not work. can any one help?

This is a bug in MS

You need to go to the client machine and delete a registry key. Here is what MS says to do.

1. On the client, navigate to the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSLicensing.

2. Click MSLicensing.

3. On the Registry menu, click Export Registry File.

4. In the File name box, type mslicensingbackup, and then click Save.

5. If you need to restore this registry key in the future, double-click mslicensingbackup.reg.

6. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click Yes to confirm the deletion of the MSLicensing registry subkey.

7. Close Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.

Hope this helps. This has been an bug for over 3 years that I know.
