I have always been able to connect to my home PC from anywhere in the world using RDP. My drive crashed and I had to rebuild the PC. I have gone through all of the configuration options many times on both the PC and my router. Everything is properly configured and there is no firewall on the PC. The PC has a static IP and a dynamic DNS client (DYNdns. The router is configured to forward through port 3389.
The problem is this: when I try to connect to my pc using the dynamic DNS name through Remote Desktop, it just kicks me directly back to the logon screen after a couple seconds. I have searched the internet and tried every solution out there and nothing has worked. Does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening? I have even tried running a repair and this did not resolve the issue. Please help.
