    Remote NT Connection

    Locked

    by pja ·

Looking how to setup a workstation that is remote and has its own ip threw a proxy server so the ip on myside is differnt then the local machine (ex machine is 10.22.0.1 the machine pings me it shows up as 12.27.82.1 ). This machine is not part of aDOMAIN server it is by itself. How do I allow access into our domain so they can run the network neighborhood and printers as if the where inside the company.
I have NT server 4.0 running as primary Domain controller and a Cisco 2501 router

If the PC is standalone then it’s IP shouldn’t matter to it.

      Enable DHCP when RASing in
      Ensure protocols are the same
I’ve found that you sometimes need NetBEUI on both server & RAS PC to get it to work

As long as you have your settings the same then you should have no problem. Make sure you are using the some protocol.

      Good Luck
