Remote storage engine failed

When trying to access Veratis backup exec, it returned a message saying a service needed hadn’t started. Checked event viewer to see the Remote Storage engine failed to start. Was able to restart the service manually, but still could not get into veratis. When server boots the Remote storage engine fails to start. All other services with remote storage start. Any ideas on how to correct the problem?
