Remotely Anywhere - PDA cant take control

By nathan.m.jones ·
Hi, I use remotely anywhere Workstation edition to take control of my home PC/network while out on the road/at work, etc..

I can successfully do it from a PC but cannot from my PDA. However, I can use other features of the software with the PDA - just not the remote control part!

The problem occurs when I type in the IP:port to the PDA and click GPO. It reaches my home PC and authenticates me but when I click the Remote Control option it tries to download some software/plugin and install it to the phone. It just hangs there and doesnt appear to do anything.

I cannot find a dedicated RA forum and have searched everywhere. Does anyone know of one?! Or use this software who has some time to help?

Thanks in Advance!

A shot in the dark, but could be a similar issue... To get a wireless Exchange connection set up on PDA's you have to manually copy over the security certificate - on a laptop you get a pop up asking if you wanted to install it, on a PDA that option never appears.

I'd take a look at what a PC wants to install the first time you connect, see if you can manually copy that over to the PDA.

We use Remote Web Workplace; PDA's will allow a login, authenticate, view the internal website and use those menus, it gets all the way to loading the desktop then crashes - the PDA's are short of RAM, video, or processor, can't handle a full desktop remote.
