Remove admin password from User “My Documents” folder

by lisa.berger . Updated 18 years, 10 months ago

I replaced the hard drive on my laptop before removing the admin password, installed new hard drive and put old hard drive in external case. Installed Windows XP and everything is great….

Except, I cannot access the document folder on the old hard drive (now in external case)to copy files over. Can access hard drive, just not the specific “My Documents” file under my old user name as access is denied due to original password.

Any suggestions, short of replacing old hard drive which I can’t since I deleted most of original windows xp installlation before discovering I couldn’t access the folder with all my documents.

TIA for your help.
