remove logon dialog box

By hollta ·
I was given an Compaq PC with Windows 2000 installed. It was connected to a network server where I worked. I now have it at home & is being used as my personal PC. When booted it asks for a logon ID and password, which I have. Is there any way possible to remove that Logon Dialog box and go directly to the startup screen? Thank You.

Is it a Windows login box?

Or for another network client such as Novel Netware?

If it is for Netware, if you don't need Netware, uninstall Netware.

Otherwise, log on as the Administrator.
Open Control Panel, Networking.
Remove ALL networking clients connections and logins that you do not need.
