Removing a static route from a router

By unclebyron ·
We have a Cisco 2600 router. I connect using Telnet.I remember how to add a global IP static route from the command line to the routing table. I have an old route that I would like to delete from the table but I've forgotten how to do it. Any ideas? This will be from the command line.

Just put the word "no" in front of the command. i.e., if the route looks like:

ip route 10.1.1.1 255.0.0.0 10.1.1.2

just type:

no ip route 10.1.1.1 255.0.0.0 10.1.1.2
