Removing audio

By infinitegod ·
I have a particular avi movie file with just music playing in the background..,no speech or narration, and therefore I'm curious to know whether its possible to completely 'remove' audio from a movie file....and if so, replace it with your own.
Is there any software out there that can do this?

I was able to achieve the desired result using Windows Movie Maker (its Free!) but will distribute the points evenly for your providing links to other software.

Try VCD Easy (http://www.vcdeasy.org). Apart from baing able to author Videos with it you can also extract Sound tracks from them with it.

If you have a WinXP, you might as well try 'Windows Movie Maker'.. there are lots of things you can do there - including what you are looking for.. worth a try.
Cheers.
