Removing background programs

By e.parisella ·
If you are using software such as Cubase VST, you obviously increase the performance by removing background software via Ctrl+alt+ Delete. Is it possible to, as it were, take a snapshot of your computer with the unessential programs not running to save you having to systematically remove them all one by one; which is a real pain.
Many thanks

Removing background programs

Are you finding a way to remove some problems that works in the background and affect your work even you don't call them?
If so, the easier way to "remove" its effect is by using 'msconfig' (only in win9
'Start'-->run-->(type) 'msconfig' in the command box-->choose the 'startup' tab; and un-check the program you want to prevent it from loading when startup. It will not delete the programs, don't worry.
What name to search?
When you use Crtl+alt+del, there is an abbreviation used for a program; this will appear on the list too; besides check the related directory listed or program explanation in the 'msconfig''s 'startup' tab

Hi tech
pls note that you can start programs from 6 diffrent places which are:
1- Autoexec.bat
2- Config.sys
3-System.ini load = xxxxxxxx.xxx
4-System.ini run = xxxxxxxx.xxx
5-Registry entry (run process) and (runonce)
6- startup menu.
some of them you can see them when pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del keys or in the task bar.Others you cant see them.
there are may utilities to help you to unload them such as:
1- MSconfig.exe (part of system tools of
windows 9
2-startupCop (zdnet.com) (free)
3-Process Viewer 2000 version 2.3. from:
URL http://www.pv2k.blehq.org/ from:
Ble Enterprises Online.
This is one of the best utilites which could:
1) View active processes.
2) Kill Active processes.
3)Create scripts.
4)Copy paths of processes.
and more
I hope this will help you.
Need more Help pls send msg:
