Removing background programs

By e.parisella ·
If you are using software such as Cubase VST, you obviously increase the performance by removing background software via Ctrl+alt+ Delete. Is it possible to, as it were, take a snapshot of your computer with the unessential programs not running to save you having to systematically remove them all one by one; which is a real pain.
Many thanks

There are special software tools for that. For example System Mechanic (you can get this from www.iolo.com), which can show you the services and hided startup items. At least it helped me a lot to optimize my own system.
