Removing dual boot option

By Agent Skull ·
WinME on C:, WinXP on logical I deleted XP but still have dual boot options from C:\boot.ini. If I remove or edit it will not load WinME, just say I need to reinstall XP. How may I be able to boot directly into WinME?

a work around is to specify winme as the default OS in the boot.ini and set the time as 0 so it will not display any menu options but boot right into WinMe.

Make yourself an ME startup disk. Boot from it and go to the A: prompt. Type in sys c: and hit enter. That will remove the dual-boot screen.
