Removing Folder Options restrictions

By XclntPuterPals ·
Control Panel does not show Folder Options icon any longer. The icon does show on the toolbar of Explorer, but does not respond to right or left clicks of the mouse. I need to remove restrictions from Folder Options. I am the administrator of this computer, and am using an admin account.

Try going to control panel and click on tools in the tool bar. You might be able to open folder options from there.

"Tools" on the toolbar does not offer a "Folder Options" choice. It offers "Map Network Drive...", "Disconnect Network Drive...", and "Synchronize...".

is this computer a part of domain? if yes, then check your domain group policy, the folder option may removed by GPO.

No, this computer is NOT part of a domain. We have installed SP1 and all updates from WinXP website. Thanks for your answer.
