How can i remove the name of the person who has logged into my ftp site last? When user’s click on the ftp link they will be prompted for a user name and password, how do i remove the list of names? I have tried cache and cookies as well as history.Thanks for your help,

assuming you are using integrated Windows logon at your FTP server (Is is IIS?), the you need to go to Local Security Settings under Start | Program | Administrativr tools. In LSS expand Local Policies | Security options, and enable the option called “Do not display last user name in logon screen”. You might need to restart your server for the change to take effect.

you can Apply a hisecws.inf security template using MMC Snap-in. this would apply this option for you if it doesn’t conflict with your needs.

Adjusting AutoComplete Settings
To modify your settings for the AutoComplete feature or clear all items from the list of form orpassword suggestions, follow these steps in Internet Explorer:
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Content tab.
Click AutoComplete.
Click the appropriate AutoComplete check boxes, or click Clear Forms or Clear Passwords to clear all saved items from the appropriate AutoComplete history.
Click OK, and then click OK.
To clear individual items from the list of form or password suggestions, click the item in the list of suggestions for that field and then press DELETE. The AutoComplete list automatically appears when you perform any of the following actions on a previously populated form:
Type the first character in the field
Press the UP or DOWN keys in the field
Double-click a blank area in the field
