I’ve seen tips on removing the nt partition but I did it another way. here’s the story. I ordered a pc with win98 from mail order. It came with Nt installed instead but with the win98 cd. I couldn’t get win98 to install and I didn’t get the nt cd , so if my memory treats me right. I edited the win98 “scandisk.ini” file. I can’t remember exactly what i changed. It may have been something like changing a parameter from “fix” to “delete” invalid mb fats or something. than i formated the hard drive. If someone knows what i actually did or has also done it this way, let me know how you did it so I can submit it to tech rep.
