Here is the situation. Roughly half my user population using roaming profiles on one subnet, the others use local profiles on another. Each subnet has it?s own primary file/print server. We have recently upgraded some hardware and moved the printers to a separate server. The problem is, when users try to print they still have the old server printers listed in their drop down boxes and it is leading to much confusion. I know that if I go the registry in Hkey_Current_User\Pritners\Connections and delete the printer, they no longer appear in the drop down. I am trying to make a .reg file that I can push to my users, tell them to double click it and have the printers disappear from the drop down. Making desk side visits to every user isn?t feasible due to the 24/7 schedule of the company. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
