wipe clean and reinstall

by oldbaritone In reply to removing win 7

Win-7 install is a one-way process. Once it's installed, the only way to get rid of it completely is to wipe the system clean and reinstall XP from the beginning, including the partition table and MBR.

You can "sort-of" uninstall Win-7, but some traces will be left behind that will be annoying sometimes.

how did you install the dual boot ?

by Curacao_Dejavu In reply to wipe clean and reinstall

First we need to know how you installed the dual boot.! are they on 2 different partitions/harddisks.?

boot in the old version (which is ??).
go to control panel, system and maintenance, system, advanced system settings, advanced, start up and recovery, settings, select the old operating system as the default, and change he counter to 0.
reboot.
when that goes well, you can format the partition of the win7, and you are done.
