Renaming a Critical Folder

I have a folder called “save data here!”

ie. \\computerone\D\save data here!

Just about every user on the network either has a shortcut to this folder or has it mapped to a network drive.

is it possible to rename this folder with a more friendly name without the spaces and punctuation without everyone on the network losing the connection?

This folder is also a current DFS root with its own root replica called “SDH_backup”.
