We are standardizing our usernames which requires us to rename each user’s account in the user manager for domains. The Win9x machines behave just fine, but when the NT user logs in with the new name their computer doesn’t create a new profile folder and it refuses to let them access their mapped drives that they have access to. In the user profiles tab it shows their new name but in the winnt\profiles\user folder it still shows the old name and won’t allow any changes to it. What is the best way to go about migrating the NT users to their new names without loosing their personal settings/applications?
