I need to repartition my 40GB hard drive (which is currently running Windows XP) into 2 20GB drives so that I can install Windows 2000 Pro in a dual boot config WITH XP. Can anyone provide me with DETAILED instructions?

If you want to leave the existing XP install intact, you will need to use a utility such as partition magic.
Only the latest version has support for XP.

If you are going to wipe the drive, and start over;

Rather than give you the step by stepdetails.
(they are just to long for this forum)

Here are a few links to detail information on partitioning drives.

Delete the existing partition.
Create a primary partition.
Use the rest of the drive for the extended partition.
Create a logical drive using the rest of the drive.

Install W2K
Install XP Make sure you perform a custom install, and direct XP to use the other drive, and setup a dual boot.
