I have a PC that the power supply burned up on and the user replaced it and brought it to me, because it would not work. I checked the connections and made sure it was connected correctly and it still does not work. I think the mother board is fried. But I wanted to post this question to be sure I am not missing anything. When the computer is plugged in there is a red light on the mother board that is on, when the power switch is pressed nothing happens, but the light on the mother board is on as long as the cord is plugged into the wall.
Is there any hope for this?
