REPLACEMENT BACKUP WINDOWS 95 SW

By soulsmiths ·
I continue to have problems w/ the Backup sw included in Windows 95. My system crashes intermitently when requiring more than 1 disc/program or I get a "fatal error in List Manager" message when the back-up of a particular program is complete. I'm looking for any free sw that can replace the Windows back-up program. I back-up once a month & use about 7 discs.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks, Nick.

Here are the links I have to backup software.
Not all are free-ware, and I don't know if any of them support W95.

Chas, thanks for the options. I looked at b4all & it is free & W95 compatible. However, I now seem to have a new problem. When I downloaded the sw to my Desktop & attempted to open it I got a MS Backup error message window saying "File must have extension .SET". I'm not sure if this is connected but, in a previous attempt to download some backup sw, when asked which program I wanted to use to open it, I chose "Backup" & I got the same error essage w/ that as well. I wonder if it's now become the default program or whether it's just a fluke. Anyway, any help you can give is appreciated. Thanks, Nick.

I like to use "Replicator" a small free utility from Karen Kenworthy of Winmag fame. The replicator is at: http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptreplicator.asp

Thanks, I downloaded it successfully (vs Answer 1, see comments above) but it indicated 1 failed copy for each file I tried to replicate. It was also v. slow in registering drive A for destination. I used the same steps I've used w/ my MS product. Not sure what's wrong but I'm afraid it's not working for me. Thanks anyway.
