I currently have an old dell poweredge 800 running 2003 (DC/AD) and am replacing it with a new dell t410. My questions are;
1.Are ther any problems setting up AD off site then changing the tcp settings to my office settings? Instead of spending more hours at the office I would like to prep the server at home,shut down the poweredge 800 and insert the t410 with the same tcp settings in its place, the domain name will not be changed.
2. I am guessing that I will have to demote all my workstations back to workgroup level then rejoin to the new DC server.
