Replicating Redirected User Folders

By jon ·
I currently have two SBS 2003 Premium servers running in a test environment.

The concept is this. User A is added to the domain and the My Documents folders are redirected to the server. The user logs in at Branch 1 where the PDC is located, folders are synchronized, everything is good. The domain name is "domain.local" and the computer name is ADONAI.DOMAIN.LOCAL

User A travels across town to another location we'll call Branch 2. The name of the server here is ELELYON.DOMAIN.LOCAL.

Both sites are connected via VPN.

User A connects to the network at branch 2 and logs in.

Where is the My Document data going to come from? Will it pull from the folder \\adonai\users\userA\My Documents or can I insert the name of the local server in the path dependent upon where the user logs in. In other words, when user A logs in, I want the files to have been replicated to \\elelyon\users\userA\My Documents so he or she is not pulling their entire My Documents contents across the VPN tunnel.

So, a) how do I begin setting up my servers to have a mirrored user folder through replication and b) how do I make it so the user's folders are pulled from the closest server?
